When Help Cannot Wait

Fundacija Pathuma Slovenia responds in the first and most critical moments of natural disasters, fires, floods, personal tragedies and other emergencies—when immediate help is needed and organised public support is still being established.

We do not replace public authorities, Civil Protection or social services. We complement their work by quickly identifying urgent needs, connecting affected people with volunteers, organisations, businesses and donors, and organising the collection, transport and distribution of assistance.

Every campaign begins with verified needs. We collect only what is genuinely required—from food, water and hygiene supplies to equipment or financial assistance—ensuring that help reaches the right people as quickly and directly as possible.

Once the situation stabilises and long-term support takes over, Pathuma gradually withdraws. Our role is to bridge the critical gap between the moment a crisis occurs and the establishment of organised, sustainable assistance.

When Action Was Needed

Kras Wildfire 2022

Pathuma supported affected communities and emergency services during the major wildfire in the Kras region.

Koroška Flood Relief

Working with volunteers, humanitarian organisations, firefighters, companies and Civil Protection, we collected and delivered more than 50 tonnes of humanitarian aid to the affected areas within only a few days.

Pomagajmo Jasni

When a young mother of four needed medical treatment and rehabilitation following cardiac arrest, we worked with the campaign organisers and donors to carry out the “Pomagajmo Jasni” humanitarian campaign.

Someone Must Take the Initiative Immediately

Pathuma believes that genuine assistance cannot end with compassion. Compassion must become action – timely, thoughtful and directed where it can achieve the greatest impact.

We step forward when the need is greatest, when the way forward is still unclear and when people do not know where to turn.

Our mission is simple: to recognise urgent need quickly, connect the people who can help and ensure that assistance reaches those who cannot afford to wait.
